Pakistan's 'all-weather friend' China asks it to clear ₹2,000-crore energy dues: Report
Pakistan has reportedly been asked by its "all-weather friend" China to clear $220-million (₹2,000 crore) dues it owes to United Energy Pakistan (UEP), warning that delays may disrupt operations. The dues relate to UEP's gas supply to Pakistani state-owned Sui Southern Gas (SSG). Meanwhile, SSG claimed it'll settle UEP's payments only after the Pakistani government clears refunds worth billions.
