Pakistan has sent 13,000 soldiers to Saudi Arabia as part of a joint strategic defence agreement signed last year. Earlier, Saudi Arabia's Defence Ministry announced the arrival of Pakistani fighter jets and other support aircraft. Saudi Arabia said the deployment aimed to strengthen joint defence cooperation and support regional and international security and stability.
