Pakistan sends 8,000 soldiers, fighter jets and air defence system to Saudi Arabia

Under a defence pact, Pakistan has deployed 8,000 troops, fighter jets and an air defence system to Saudi Arabia, Reuters reported. Officials described the deployment as combat-capable force intended to support Saudi Arabia's military if the kingdom comes under further attack. The deployment to Saudi, which is Iran's regional rival, comes as Pakistan is mediating between Iran and US.
