Pakistan takes U-turn on renaming places with Hindu names

Pakistan's Punjab government has taken a U-turn on its decision to restore the pre-Partition Hindu and Sikh names of areas in Lahore, such as Krishan Nagar (Islampura) and Dharampura (Mustafaabad). It has shelved the decision after a backlash from religious hardliners and vloggers who called the move an attempt to revive "Hindu and Sikh identities" in a Muslim-majority country.
