Pakistan to upgrade F-16 fleet under $686 mn US defence agreement

Pakistan has confirmed that its F-16 fighter aircraft fleet will be upgraded under a major defence agreement with the US worth approximately $686 million. Around 80 Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 fighter jets will be modernised through upgraded avionics, radar, communications systems and mission equipment. Reportedly, Pakistan is expected to receive advanced F-16 Block 72-standard upgrades.
