Pakistani-born UAE cricketer Asif Khan banned for doping before India clash in Asia Cup 2025

Pakistani-born UAE cricketer Asif Khan has been banned for 15 months after testing positive for a metabolite of prohibited substance mesterolone, ICC announced. His out-of-competition sample was collected on September 8, 2025, two days before UAE faced India in Asia Cup. The period of his ineligibility has been backdated to September 8, 2025 and will run until December 7, 2026.
