Pakistani forces open fire with AK-47 rifles on protesters in PoK; 11 killed

At least 11 people were killed, and many others were injured after Pakistani security forces opened fire with AK-47 rifles on thousands of demonstrators in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Monday, locals said. The crackdown came after negotiations between protest leaders and the Pakistani government collapsed. Protests have been going on in PoK for several weeks over inflation and unemployment.
