Palakkad family escapes moments before house collapses

A family in Alanallur, Palakkad, escaped moments before their house collapsed due to heavy rain and strong winds on Thiruvonam day. Ramesh, his wife Sunitha and their two children had just finished their traditional feast and stepped out to visit relatives when the house came crashing down. The family survived, but their home was completely destroyed.
