Music composer Lalit Pandit shared that Pamela Chopra had a "big contribution in the music of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' ('DDLJ') and 'Mohabbatein'". Talking about recording 'Ghar Aaja Pardesi' from 'DDLJ', Lalit recalled, "She'd rehearse a lot...Back then, we'd record everything live...she sang the whole track in one go." 'DDLJ' marked the debut of Aditya Chopra as a director.
