Panama's Waterman, Rodríguez clash during training before FIFA WC match vs England

Panama striker Cecilio Waterman clashed with teammate José Luis Rodríguez during training ahead of their Group L match against England at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Waterman pushed Rodríguez in the chest before teammates stepped in to separate the pair. Reacting to the incident, Panama coach Thomas Christiansen said, "This is a normal situation."
