Panathur CDP road to split 150-acre forest in Bengaluru

Bengaluru’s Panathur CDP road has been approved and will pass through a 40-year-old, 150-acre urban forest, dividing it into two sections. The 150-foot road is part of the project. The first phase of Panathur Tree Park, spread across 40 acres, will be inaugurated on Wednesday, while the Forest Department will retain and protect the remaining 100 acres from encroachment.
