Pangolin is the world’s most trafficked mammal and the only one to be completely covered in scales. India is a major supplier of pangolin meat and scales across illegal markets in China, Vietnam, and Thailand. Further, local trade of the endangered animal has also been reported in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Manipur, Tripura, Assam, Nagaland, and West Bengal.
