Panipat's Devi Temple reflects devotion of Maratha warriors

Shree Devi Temple in Panipat, built during the Maratha era over 250 years ago, is a major religious centre of Haryana. A number of devotees from Maharashtra reach here every year, as it is believed that Maratha warrior Sadashiv Rao Bhau, along with his army, camped here during the third war of Panipat in 1761, and prayed to Goddess Durga.
