Panthalassa gets $140 mn from Palantir's Thiel for wave-powered AI

US-based startup Panthalassa raised $140 million in a Series B funding round led by Palantir Technologies Co-founder Peter Thiel for wave-powered AI. The funding will support development of offshore nodes that generate electricity from wave energy and run AI computing onboard. The startup said the facilities will generate clean energy, with the surrounding ocean providing free supercooling.
