Paraguay President Santiago Peña declared Tuesday a national holiday after the country's football team knocked four-time champions Germany out of FIFA World Cup 2026 in the Round of 32 on Monday. Paraguay defeated Germany 4-3 on penalties to advance to the Round of 16. "Paraguay never gives up! Public holiday, damn it!" Peña wrote on X.
