Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar defended state minister G Parameshwara after ED raided premises linked to him in gold smuggling case involving actress Ranya Rao. He called him an honest man, saying "Parameshwara might have gifted...₹15-25 lakh to Rao during a family event or marriage", PTI reported. "That doesn't mean he encouraged her to indulge in illegal activities," Shivakumar said.
