Param-Ishan supercomputer unveiled at IIT Guwahati

In a push to research and innovation, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday unveiled the ‘Param-Ishan’ supercomputer at IIT Guwahati. The supercomputer has a power of 250 teraflops and a capacity of 300 terabytes. Calling IITs “modern temples for development”, Javadekar said that a nation’s potential for growth is evaluated on the quality of its research and development.
