Paramount's $108 bn bid on Warner Bros passes US antitrust hurdle

Paramount Skydance on Friday said US antitrust waiting period for its $108.4 billion bid for Warner Bros Discovery expired on February 19. There is no statutory impediment in US to closing Paramount's proposed acquisition, company said. However, expiration of the waiting period does not end US Department of Justice's review. Netflix and Paramount have been competing for Warner Bros acquisition.
