Parasites in cat poop can treat Alzheimer's, Parkinson's: Study

A parasite found in soiled cat litter could be a future treatment for neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Microbiology. Researchers said they used an engineered form of Toxoplasma gondii - a common parasite found in cat poop, to deliver proteins to the brain in mice.
