Drinking alcohol in public will be temporarily banned in Paris from Friday noon to ease pressure on hospitals amid heatwave. The public drinking ban starts at noon on Friday and lasts until 7am on Saturday, repeating during the same hours from Saturday to Sunday. “Drinking alcohol with the sun beating down can have a devastating effect,” Paris police chief said.
