Park 50 feet away from others: GM to Bolt EV owners in US after 12 fires

General Motors has urged some Chevrolet Bolt EV owners in the US to park their vehicles on the top floor or on an open-air deck and park 50 feet away from other vehicles, citing fire risk. The precaution would reduce potential damage to structures or nearby vehicles, it said. GM has confirmed 12 cases of battery fires involving Bolt EVs.
