Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has notified that a 1500-square foot crèche facility will be set up in the Parliament House for an "inclusive and supportive work environment" for its female employees. This comes after Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi wrote to Mahajan saying that the facility was crucial, as one-third employees at the Parliament are women.
