Parrikar was India's Defence Minister during 'surgical strike'

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who passed away at the age of 63 today due to pancreatic cancer, was Defence Minister when India carried out surgical strike in PoK on September 29, 2016. He was born on December 13, 1955 and had joined RSS during his school days. His wife, Medha Parrikar, also died of cancer in early 2000s.
