Part of Aarey forest proposed to be included in Mumbai park

An area of 328.9 hectare from Aarey forest has been proposed to be included within Mumbai's Sanjay Gandhi National Park. "Based on our on-ground survey undertaken two weeks ago, we included green zones having open areas and forest-like cover while leaving out roads, built-up structures, and lands given to state agencies," Maharashtra Tourism and Environment Minister, Aaditya Thackeray said.
