Passenger finds 'cockroach-like' insect in Vande Bharat meal, IRCTC fines vendor ₹10 lakh

A Mumbai resident travelling on Vande Bharat train from Ahmedabad found a cockroach-like insect in the meal served onboard. Taking to X, the passenger said there were at least two such cases in his coach. The IRCTC said "a hefty penalty" of ₹10 lakh along with a termination notice of the contract is being issued to the vendor.
