Patanjali Ayurved acquires Ruchi Soya for ₹4,350 crore

Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurved has completed the acquisition of debt-ridden Ruchi Soya for ₹4,350 crore under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. With this, Patanjali owns Ruchi Soya brands such as Nutrela, Sunrich and Ruchi Gold. While Patanjali MD Acharya Balkrishna was appointed as the Chairman and MD of Ruchi Soya, Ramdev was appointed as a non-executive director on its board.
