After 14 years of trial, the Army on Thursday closed the Pathribal fake encounter case saying that the evidence recorded could not establish prima facie charges against any of the accused persons. The case involves five army personnel, who were indicted of staging a fake encounter killing five innocent civilians, whom they said were terrorists, in Pathribal (South Kashmir).
