Patient, killed in medical plane crash, was going to Delhi to treat 65% burn injuries

The 41-year-old patient, Sanjay Kumar, who died in the air ambulance crash in Jharkhand, was being flown from Ranchi to Delhi for better treatment. He was brought to Ranchi's Devkamal Hospital with 65% burn injuries on February 16, said hospital's CEO. The family opted to transfer him for specialised treatment and arranged the air ambulance on the day of crash.
