Patient dies after falling from bed at Kerala hospital

87-year-old Sukumara Pillai died after falling from his bed while undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Police filed an unnatural death case as his family alleged negligence over the lack of follow-up care. The hospital superintendent denied the allegations, saying all rail-equipped beds were occupied.
