NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar backed Noel Tata’s position amid an ongoing dispute over making Tata Sons public, saying the "institutional role" of Tata Trusts must be preserved. He added, "When decisions are made regarding...leadership of the Tata Group, it is essential to respect...institutional processes." He also raised governance concerns over Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran's reappointment.
