Payment aggregators seek deadline extension for merchant re-KYC: Report

Payment aggregators have urged the RBI to extend the September 15 deadline for merchant re-KYC, Moneycontrol reported. Aggregators are struggling to clear a backlog involving thousands of merchants, raising concerns over potential digital payment disruptions. Around 30-35% of small informal offline QR-code merchants and nearly one million small online businesses may miss the deadline.
