PayPal Co-founder Thiel's foundation invests in Indian agritech startup
The Thiel Foundation, created by PayPal Co-founder Peter Thiel, has invested in Gurugram-based agritech startup Kisan Network. The $3-million seed funding round was led by Atsushi Taira, the MD of Singapore-based fund Mistletoe, with participation from other investors like Y Combinator. The startup's supply chain enables farmers to sell their produce directly to buyers without involving middlemen.
