PayPal fired 600 Indian staff on virtual call, revoked access immediately: Report

PayPal laid off nearly 600 employees across its offices in Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Moneycontrol reported. Affected staff were informed about layoffs during a virtual call, after which their access to the company's systems was immediately revoked. "We didn’t get any prior notice," a laid-off employee said. The employees later received an off-boarding email and details about severance pay.
