PayPal recalls policy to fine customers for misinformation after facing criticism

PayPal on Monday withdrew one of its policy updates that stated customers could be fined $2,500 for spreading misinformation, after facing criticism over it. The company apologised for it and said the policy update "went out in error that included incorrect information." Shares of the company were nearly 6% down after the update.
