PayPal's exiting COO Bill Ready to join Google as commerce chief

American online payments system giant PayPal's departing Chief Operating Officer (COO) Bill Ready will join internet giant Google as its commerce chief in January. Ready joined PayPal in 2013 after the latter acquired his payments gateway startup Braintree for $800 million. At Google, Ready will directly report to Prabhakar Raghavan, Senior VP for Ads and Commerce and Payments.
