Paytm, PhonePe, other fintechs stop rent payments via credit cards

Several fintech apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Mobikwik, Freecharge and Amazon Pay have stopped accepting rent payments through credit cards. This comes as many banks stopped reward points for rent payments via the apps, with HDFC Bank now charging 1% fee of up to ₹3,000 for it. Moreover, RBI has raised the concern regarding cards being used for peer-to-peer payments.
