Payment apps like Paytm, Flipkart-owned PhonePe, and FreeCharge are not letting users submit their Aadhaar numbers for the 'know your customer' (KYC) process, as per user feedback. While Paytm Bank Care tweeted it's "not accepting new KYC requests to open any Paytm Payments bank account", PhonePe clarified that Aadhaar eKYC license was pending approval with its regulatory body UIDAI.
