Paytm secures NPCI approval for UPI services as TPAP

Paytm, known as One 97 Communications, received a third-party application provider license from NPCI after its banking unit's operations halt due to regulatory compliance issues. This allows continued Paytm app payments via UPI, supported by Axis, HDFC, SBI, and Yes Bank. The move ensures Paytm's UPI service persists, aligning with RBI's regulatory framework.
