Paytm to sell $250-mn stake in Japan's PayPay to SoftBank: Report

Paytm's parent company One97 Communications is close to finalising a $250 million (around ₹2,000 crore) deal to sell its stake in Japan's digital payments firm PayPay to SoftBank Group, Moneycontrol reported. Paytm had entered the Japanese market in 2018 through a partnership with PayPay. Paytm served as a technology service provider to the firm, while holding around 5.4% stake.
