Peacock rescued from Mumbai and released into natural habitat

Forest Department officials in Mumbai rescued a peacock from Borivali with help from members of an NGO. After the rescue, the bird was kept at the Mumbai Forest Department office where it was medically examined by a senior wildlife veterinarian. The peacock was released back into the wild in its natural habitat on Sunday after being declared fit to release.
