Peak electricity demand in India breaks all records for 4 straight days

India's peak daytime electricity demand hit a record high for four straight days amid an intense heatwave, Ministry of Power said. Demand rose from 257.37 GW on May 18 to 270.82 GW on May 21. "Although we're prepared to supply electricity as required, due to intense summer, let us all try to use electricity wisely and judiciously," the ministry said.
