Pentagon weighs withdrawal of up to 40,000 troops from Europe

The Pentagon is reviewing a potential withdrawal of 25,000–40,000 US troops from Europe, out of ~80,000 currently stationed there. The six-month DoD review covers aviation, naval, and ground forces.
