People are eating rats, snakes: Myanmar woman on surviving in lockdown

Ma Suu, a 36-year-old woman in Myanmar who had to close her salad stall during the lockdown said, "People are eating rats and snakes...Without an income, they need to eat like that to feed their children." Her husband, an out of work construction labourer, has resorted to hunting for food in the open drains by the slum where they live.
