People in Kashmir village clean stream in 400-year-old festival
In Kashmir's Panzath village people gathered around the Panzath Nag stream to remove weeds, pollutants, debris, silt and restore its natural flow. The tradition is part of a 400-year-old festival which sees the whole village step into the stream with wicker baskets every year. People also sang Kashmiri folk songs and played Bollywood music during the festival to encourage volunteers.
