People not wearing mask in public to be fined ₹1,000 from Aug 11 in Gujarat

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani on Monday announced that the fine for not wearing a mask in public places has been raised to ₹1,000 in the state. The revised fine will be enforced from August 11. Gujarat has reported over 54,000 coronavirus recoveries and currently has over 14,000 active cases.
