Letter claiming govt has approved subsidy for solar pumps fake

People are receiving fake letters claiming that the government has approved subsidies for solar pumps for them under the PM-KUSUM Scheme. Letters are also seeking an advance registration fee of ₹8,000. The fact-checking unit of government, PIB Fact Check clarified that such letters are "fake". "Don't deposit any registration fee or share any personal information," it added.
