People said name 'Reddit' was horrible when I chose it: Co-founder

Alexis Ohanian, Reddit Co-founder, recalled using his CEO authority 21 years ago to retain the name of the social media platform despite widespread criticism from early investors and partners. "Everyone said it was a horrible name, but I insisted one day people would say 'I read it on reddit'," Ohanian said. An X user responded, "I'm glad you don't regreddit."
