People smuggling migrants making £700K per Channel crossing: Report

As per The Sun, people who smuggle migrants across English Channel are making around £700,000 from each crossing by cramming a boat with over 40 migrants and charging them £20,000 each. French Police chief Laurent Hurst, who revealed the charges, said that for traffickers, smuggling people is more lucrative than drug-trafficking because it only costs £2,000 to secure a boat.
