People will be allowed to prove citizenship in Assam: Govt

Ahead of the publication of the final draft of the National Register of Citizens, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said all individuals in Assam will get "sufficient opportunity" to prove their citizenship. In a series of tweets, he said the final NRC will be published after all objections are examined, adding that nobody will be placed under detention after NRC publication.
