Pepperfry COO Ashish Shah becomes new chief after ex-CEO's demise

Pepperfry has appointed Co-founder and COO Ashish Shah as the new CEO after the demise of former chief Ambareesh Murty. Murty passed away last month after suffering a cardiac arrest in Leh. The furniture startup also announced that it has raised $23 million in funding from existing shareholders, including institutional investors and family offices.
